Life is poetry! After writing a post about the media and its know-nothing economy coverage, I give you my masterpiece Media Covers Mouse and Wall St Reform in Equal Parts.
There was a mouse, it ran by the president when he was talking and there were serious journalists there. And at the same time, there was Wall St Reform in the Senate. It is weak and won’t solve root causes of the Great Recession because… oh wait, yes SHOW THE MOUSE.
But how can we be sure that it is in fact a mouse? Are there biologists who can distinguish such anatomical differences among rodents? Call in the financial rodent expert!
“I would partially rule out rat,” said Russell Link, a wildlife biologist who works for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. “That’s due to the lack of a tail that is typically equal to body length.”
I’ll be writing about how paltry this reform package is and how future calls of a legislative triumph (oh the media must have their epic storyline and the politicians must pat themselves on the back) are really weak sellouts. But complex things take time to explain and dissect, but rodents near the president. Haha classic.
